Matthew 28:18-20

"Then Jesus came to them and said, 'All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.'" (Matthew 28:18-20)

As followers of Christ, we have been entrusted with a mandate to lead and bless others through discipleship. Jesus, before ascending to heaven, gave His disciples a clear command to go and make disciples of all nations. This mandate is not limited to a select few, but it is a calling for every believer to embrace.

Discipleship is not just about imparting knowledge or teaching others; it is about leading them into a deeper relationship with Jesus. We have the privilege of guiding others on their journey of faith, helping them grow in their understanding of God's Word, and encouraging them to live out His teachings.

In this process of leading others, we must recognize that we are already existing as a blessing. God has equipped us with His Spirit and has given us His authority to carry out this mandate. We have the power to impact lives, to bring hope, and to share the love of Christ with those around us.

When we commit ourselves to discipleship, we not only bless others, but we also experience blessings in our own lives. As we invest in the spiritual growth of others, we grow in our own faith. We deepen our understanding of God's Word as we teach and share it with others. We become more aware of His presence and guidance as we step out in obedience to His command.

Leading others in discipleship is not always easy. It requires time, effort, and a genuine heart of love and compassion. But as we faithfully fulfill this mandate, we will witness the transformative power of God at work in the lives of those we disciple.

Today, let us embrace the mandate to lead and bless others through discipleship. Let us commit ourselves to this calling, recognizing that we are already existing as a blessing. May we be faithful in leading others into a deeper relationship with Jesus, knowing that as we lead, we will also experience blessings in our own lives. And may the impact of our discipleship reach far and wide, as we fulfill the Great Commission given to us by our Lord and Savior.

Prayer:

Dear Lord, thank You for entrusting us with the mandate to lead and bless others through discipleship. Help us to recognize the importance of this calling and to commit ourselves wholeheartedly to it. Fill us with Your Spirit and grant us wisdom as we guide others in their faith journey. May our discipleship efforts bring glory to Your name and be a source of blessings both in our lives and in the lives of those we disciple. In Jesus' name, amen.
