Genesis 30:27 "But Laban said to him, 'If I have found favor in your eyes, please stay. I have learned by divination that the Lord has blessed me because of you.'"

Devotional:

In our lives, we are often blessed in ways we cannot fully comprehend. These blessings come from a source much greater than ourselves, and it is vital for us to acknowledge and value the knowledge of this source. The power of learning lies in our deliberate decision to know and understand the origins of our blessings. Genesis 30:27 sheds light on Laban's perspective and offers valuable lessons for us today.

Laban recognized Jacob as the source of his amazing blessings. He understood that the favor he had found in his life was directly related to the presence of Jacob. Laban's desire to preserve the flow of blessings he experienced compelled him to make the conscious decision to keep Jacob nearby.

Learning brings with it the capacity to acknowledge and appreciate the origins of our blessings. When we understand the source of our amazing blessings, we position ourselves to continue experiencing the abundance and favor that flows from it. It is in knowing the provider that we can maintain a lasting connection and sustain the marvelous blessings bestowed upon us.

However, while Laban made the correct initial steps to preserve his relationship with Jacob, he failed to comprehend the secret to the continuous blessings. The flow of blessings does not solely rely on the presence of the source, but also on the joy and satisfaction of the source itself. Jacob was pleased to be in Laban's household, and it was this contentment that kept blessings pouring forth.

It is essential for us not to overlook or grieve our sources of amazing blessings. Our attitudes and actions towards those who are instrumental in God's plan for us play a significant role in how blessings continue to manifest in our lives. When we value, appreciate, and please our sources of blessings, we contribute to the preservation of a fruitful relationship. Grief, on the other hand, disrupts this flow and hinders the manifestation of God's blessings.

Let us take a moment to reflect on the amazing blessings we have experienced in our lives. Are we aware of their source? Have we taken the time to learn and understand where these blessings originate? Moreover, are we honoring and pleasing our sources, or have we unknowingly caused grief to those who have been instrumental in our lives?

May we commit ourselves to the deliberate decision of learning and acknowledging the origins of our blessings. Let us cherish and value our sources, whether they are individuals or divine interventions. By doing so, we ensure that the amazing flow of blessings continues, enabling us to enjoy and experience God's goodness in abundance.
